MEET CAPRICE
A devoted mother of 4, wife, grandmother and public servant. I am passionate about strengthening my community through education, parental involvement and collaborative leadership.
With over 25 years in public service, my career has been formed by a deep commitment to helping others. Whether working within the Federal government or serving the City of San Antonio, I’ve always been driven by the same purpose: to listen, to advocate, and to help individuals find their own voice and a path toward resolution. Every position I’ve held has strengthened my ability to lead with integrity and compassion.
Beyond my professional roles, I have been very active in our community. I served on the board at Capitol Park Little League as well as the Social Committee Chair for our HOA. I've had the privilege of serving on the PTA board at Steubing Ranch Elementary as President, Volunteer Coordinator and Fundraising Chair; and at Madison High School as President, 1st Vice President of Membership and Secretary. I am currently serving on the PTA board at Bradley Middle School and Madison High School. I have served on the Campus Improvement Committees at both Steubing Ranch and Madison. In 2016, I was appointed to the NEISD School Health Advisory Council and served until 2018. In 2023, I had the honor of completing the Leadership North East program. This program offered a series of classes with meaningful insight into the day-to-day operations of our school district.
I am seeking election to the NEISD School Board because I believe every child deserves a safe, supportive, and quality education. Our schools are the heart of our community, and the decisions made at the board level directly shape the opportunities our students receive. I am running because I want to make a difference in our community. I want to ensure that families are heard, educators are supported, and students-regardless of background-have access to the tools they need to succeed.
My goal is to bring impactful leadership, accountability, and a strong commitment to fairness to every decision. I want to help advance our school system with collaborative efforts and open communication. Through strengthening partnerships, we can ensure that every child has the opportunity to thrive.
My roles as a mother and wife are at the heart of my commitment to service. As the proud mom of 3 NEISD graduates, with our youngest starting high school this Fall, my experiences will continue to guide my efforts to create a brighter future for families and our communities.
